Three Gratitudes in Life

The first gratitude

I am grateful to my great parents for bringing me into this beautiful world. As I grew up, I slowly understood an important truth: in life, we must learn to rely on ourselves.

Only by being independent and resilient, treating others honestly and handling matters with sincerity, can we walk steadily and go far. Be grateful for life, and cherish every moment.

The second gratitude

I am grateful to the great and mysterious Ruler of the Universe. From the moment I was born, oxygen has been provided to me freely, without pause, so that I may live and breathe.

Yet, this power has never controlled my life, nor decided my choices or dreams for me.

Many things in life must still be faced by ourselves – we must persevere, work hard, strive, and make our own choices. A bright life filled with kindness, gratitude, wisdom and value is never gained without effort. It requires sincere dedication and steady perseverance, step by step.

The third gratitude

I am grateful to my country, society, brothers and sisters, family, friends, and everyone around me.

You have given me opportunities to learn, helped shape my life, and guided my growth, bringing me closer to kindness and tolerance.

I strive to become a person with wisdom, integrity and responsibility – one who is willing to persevere in giving, and to live a life of gratitude and service.

If you are a vast ocean, you are unmoved by a passing ship.

If you are a lake, you are troubled by a lone boat.

We cannot decide the length of our lives, but we can decide the breadth by making them richer and more meaningful. In the course of life, in every moment, every event, every experience and at every point of challenge, we can choose to change, to Improve ourselves, and to let our lives stand apart. In doing so, we bring benefits to others and contribute positively to the world.

Good deeds are like drops of water in a pond, spreading ripples far and wide. It takes time to build character; it’s a slow and steady process. Planting seeds for the future; reaping the benefits for future generations. Stay true to your original intentions, and you’ll reach your destination. Roses given, the fragrance lingers in hand.
